Do you have a life purpose? Have you ever thought about writing it down?
Many people I talk to virtually all have the same issues with life. They all want to be able to give back to society in a meaningful way and they all want to know their life purpose.
The unfortunate thing is that most people I talk to feel they have not contributed enough to society and the majority are clueless about their distinct life purpose on this planet.
A person's life purpose is crucial. You must find out what you were created to do on this planet. Once you know your God given purpose, you are driven by it. You wake up trying to figure out how you are going to achieve it. You prepare for it, you dream about it, set goals for it, and you live to fulfill it every day.
Why? Because you were created for it. It is not a mere feeling; it is an internal force of nature. God will always make a way even if you are broke and there seems no way.
Please do not confuse your life purpose with your current job. Many times it has nothing to do with that, however, it can. But know this: Your life purpose always starts with God. Without him, it is your life purpose, not his. Will it still work? Yes. Will it do the work of eternity? No. Here lies the difference. Something I did not know until I got alone with God and asked.
The reason we have so much addiction in society as well as depression and suicidal tendencies is because many of us feel hopeless or insignificant. We have nothing outside of ourselves to believe in. Or, if we do, we do not know how to tap into it. We are ridden with guilt and shame and we have bought the lie.
The lie that God sits around judging us waiting on us to become perfect. He is nothing like that at all. Please listen to me. He offers grace, mercy and love. Period!
So you ask does the spiritual side really matter in life. Yes, it does. You don't bring pleasure or glory to God by hiding your abilities and trying to be someone else. You were created on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose. Everyone's life is driven by something and if not by God's inspiration then we tend to make up our own purpose.
But when we get alone and ask him what he wants us to do and then sit and listen, he will answer. Then all the steps fall into order because it is what you were designed to do. It is what makes your heart skip a beat. It is what makes you extremely happy and content because you were born to do it.
It drives your life. You will find the most joy you have ever had when you discover what God put you here to achieve. You no longer have to be driven by the need for approval, or millions of dollars, or anything else for that matter. It is the utter fulfillment.
You don't have to be the smartest, the wealthiest, the most creative or even the prettiest. When you get in sync with the creator of the universe and his perfect will for your life, you can move heaven.
I hope this will inspire you to see just how simple it is to find your purpose. All you need is time and the ability to ask God questions. Sit with a pen and paper and then let me know what He says. He loves you and just wants to hear from you from time to time.
Now – go find your life purpose!
